Bundoran Minors impress for ‘The County’

Peter Mc Gonagle for Donegal against AntrimWhile the senior team had a bad day at the office the county minor team etched out a 3 point win against the Antrim Minors. This may not have been a vintage team performance from the young donegal men but a win under their belts and the pressure of studying for the state examinations now passed means that concentration will be much more intensified on progressing further in the Championship.  Bundoran can take great pride in their part  in insuring the county progressed. Exceptional performances from Peter Mc Gonagle and a ‘Man of the Match’ performance from Micheal Mc Eniff insures that they are definate starters for the match against Down. A great start by Donegal saw them score six points with three from the boot of Micheal Mc Eniff . At Half-time the score was 9-6 in Donegals favour and while Antrim came close to parity but Micheal scored his fourth point to restore a two point lead. Two more scores from Molloy and Mc brearty put paid to Antrims chances and while they scored one more point it never looked like Donegal were going to lose this one. The match finishing 14-11 in Donegals favour. Another win against Down even with a close scoreline will more than suffice.
